Raise a toast to life!!!!

Hey.....well it seems to become a regular habit of me to be so irregular with my posts...am sorry.......well what should I blame it on...laziness, lack of enthusiasm, or sheer dullness in life. Well I would just vote for all of them :-P. The only thing dominating my life presently is my classes..this semester system (flashback to sometime back when there was a lot of noise of semester system being introduced in the University of Delhi)........yes yes I too am a prey to it...and before you think about the number of books I have to study let me clarify...I am not exactly studying...am teaching post graduate students....as teaching assistant.......'The channel of communication between students and professors' (Hush! believe me we are actually still confused about our identity..as the Hindi saying goes 'dhobi ke kutte na ghar ke na ghat ke'). We put in more time and efforts than students and profs.......Oh! the hot topic of discussion nowdays '@CWG'. It is titled 'Commonwealth Games' but it has left no stones unturned to mess around with the normal schedule of the common people....so much so for the 'COMMONWEALTH GAMES'. I don't think I would like to add anymore to the already splashed news about this event...the media has done its job well but I wish they could add a word or two of praise too. I just want the construction to come to an end on campus and it being dominated once again by the beautiful and naughty smiles of the students (Whisper!!! The walk from my lab to back hostel 9 pm at night, pitch dark alone with only construction workers on the way...whew makes me nervous...). Enough of complaining! life is not a BED of ROSES and even roses come with their set of thorns......amongst all this confusion were born the cute little pups at the near vicinity of my department.......I look at them with their eyes closed and oh so cute...I take a deep breath and a smile slowly comes on my face......I can just keep looking at them, drink in their innocence and forget my worries. I say (sigh!) that life is a toast...drink it to its fullest. Cheers! O! before I sign off my favourite topic SALSA!!!! sir please bring in the regularity in our routine......and hey people what do you think of the AYODHYA VERDICT????????? you are free to comment....take it as a platform.....

  1. i find our fetish for religion like the one for 'love' in hindi movies. Virtually every movie can't do without a love song or the stereotypical 'hero-heroine'. Even the hindi sci-fi (supposedly) movie: Robot has the catch line - "Man, Machine, Mohabbat". An E.T life form might be beguiled in to believe how loving and compassionate we are. Of course the reality is every morning's newspaper.. every page..
    and so for religion also..

    thank u for the platform

The story of the sensuous six yards

5 months....as usual a long time.....oodles have happened during this period...I submitted my thesis on 16th December, 2011 (groan! no more hilarious Ph.D. comic scripts now). The new year brought a new surprise...my status was updated from research scholar-------->Assistant Professor....yes yes now I teach undergraduate students....(I know its a shock for you...it was an even bigger shock for me....ME.. A....T-E-A-C-H-E-R)... While starting out work there I realized it was very tough for me to establish myself as one cause I looked no more than a student. Today 4 months into the profession .......4 months of desperate attempts to look like a prof.......I was staring into my wardrobe when my eyes stopped over the pink coloured long cloth.....and I recalled what dadi (paternal grandmother) told me '.....saree is the most sensuous dress in which you can show all and hide all....'. With westernization creeping up all aspects....lifestyle, wardrobe...most of the women of young...

Long long time

Hey!!!!!!!!!! once again a long gap! Man I just can't keep up the pace with blogging. Well work being finally decided am a bit mentally relaxed. Oh! no back to the same topic. Work! Am not going to bore myself with work even on my blog. Today we had an interesting discussion. Pooja (my senior) asked us an interesting question. Which moments of your life would you like to re -live but in a different way. Hmmmmmmm!!!!!!!! point to ponder. But Idon't think should waste much of my energy on it. Of course my college life. I lived my grad life like a NERD. Get up in the morning, brush my teeth, have my breakfast and go to the college. Had all my notes intact. With my specs on the brink of my nose was among the toppers. I had terrible dressing sense (now my friends tell me). If give a chance to re live it how would it be.............................................. Get up late in the morning. Shit missed the alarm and the first class. Never mind got plenty of time to dress up for the...

Atithi tum Kab jaaoge

No am not really in the mood to discuss the much talked about yet to release movie *ing Ajay Devgan and Konkana Sen. Just that the first thing I did catch a glimpse of when I got up in the morning was the long tentacles of the brown and black striped body of this 6 or was it 8 legged creep. Now what do you call it in the common man's term............ o yeah cockroach. No! No! sorry to disappoint you guys I didn't shreak or shout my lungs off. You can't really expect that off me. I've grown up literally dissecting these Periplaneta americana. Before you people go mad wondering what is this jargoan I am babbling. Its the scientific name of cockroach. Its another story that I would always end up with pieces of it instead of it instead of its intact organ system. God bless my teachers who had to deal with my dissection. Getting back to my morning ordeal, I found it a fascinating view. The visitor in its shining armor decided to pay me a visit after a very long time.........
